“Benefit of the Doubt” is the love story of “Arthur,” an entrepreneurial, black guy who runs a podcasting business and “CC,” a progressive, young, white girl who aspires to be an actress and internet influencer. They meet her parents for the first time at a fancy, New York restaurant. Donald J Whitehead, her rich, controlling, father ain’t happy with her situation. He wants to bring his baby girl back home to the good life of Charlotte, NC. He wants to fix her up with the richest guy at his country club who also happens to be a business associate of his. The Donald has an ulterior motive. But Arthur sees through this plan and confronts him on it. He pushes back. Things escalate and tempers are lost.
