About Arts Factory
West Charlotte’s Hub for Local Arts & Community Creativity
Arts Factory, located at 1545 W. Trade Street in Charlotte’s Historic West End, is a creative and cultural venue celebrating visual and performing arts and neighborhood connection. The space hosts visual art exhibitions, theatre, comedy, and concerts, with most programming produced by local artists and organizations.
Housed in a former Griffin Tire building, Griffin Brother’s West End Investments manage the multi-use property that houses a theatre, offices, and classroom space. Once home to Johnson C. Smith University’s arts facility, Arts Factory sits along mural-lined West Trade Street and has become a catalyst for cultural engagement and revitalization in West Charlotte. As of 2026, the Arts Factory theatre, scene shop, and workspace classroom are managed by Three Bone Theatre, Charlotte’s homegrown professional theatre company, Three Bone Theatre. The space is active year-round with bold, community-centered programming that serves West Charlotte and the broader Charlotte community."
